Crucial Disclaimers and Warnings
Your use of Armory Atlas is governed by these Terms. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that Armory Atlas does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for legal counsel. You must verify all information and comply with all applicable laws. Your use is at your sole risk.
Welcome to Armory Atlas ("we," "us," or "our"), a firearm management and legal compliance application. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
1. Disclaimer of Legal Advice and Liability
The Service, including the "Travel Co-Pilot" and any "AI Coach" suggestions, provides informational tools only. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinion, or legal services. Firearm laws are highly complex, vary by jurisdiction, and are subject to frequent change. The information is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you are in full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws when purchasing, possessing, using, or traveling with firearms. We explicitly disclaim all liability for any errors, omissions, or misinterpretations of the law and for any consequences, including legal action, resulting from your use of the Service. Your reliance on any information provided by the Service is at your own risk.
2. Zero-Knowledge Architecture and Data Privacy
Our Service is built on a Zero-Knowledge Architecture. This is our foundational commitment to your privacy and security.
On-Device Encryption
All of your personal data, including firearm serial numbers, ammunition counts, and range locations ("User Content"), is encrypted exclusively on your device using a unique Master Encryption Key (MEK).
No Server Access
We use Google Sign-In for authentication, but your Master Password and MEK are never transmitted to our servers. We have no way to access or decrypt your User Content.
Data Loss Warning
You are solely responsible for managing your Master Password and Recovery Key. There is no "Forgot Password" feature because we cannot recover or reset your key. If you lose your password and recovery key, your data will be permanently lost and irrecoverable.
Secure Cloud Sync
For premium users, optional cloud backup stores your data as unreadable encrypted blobs. These blobs are linked to your Google Account ID, but the server cannot decrypt them.
3. User Conduct and Responsibilities
- You agree to use the Service in full compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, laws pertaining to firearms, ammunition, and accessories. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all User Content you enter, including but not limited to serial numbers, round counts, and purchase information.
- You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could harm the Service or impair anyone else's use of it.
4. Community Content and Conduct
The Service may allow you to submit content to a public directory of businesses or similar forums ("Community Content"). By submitting Community Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content.
You agree not to post any Community Content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove or edit any content that, in our sole opinion, is harmful or in breach of these Terms. We do not endorse any Community Content and are not responsible for its accuracy or legality. Your reliance on the community directory is at your own risk.
5. Subscription and Payments
Our Service offers a free tier for basic inventory logging, Zero‑knowledge cloud backup and multi‑device sync. The Premium subscription (“Atlas Tier”) unlocks:
- Travel Co‑Pilot with jurisdiction‑aware guidance
- Ballistics Calculator
- Performance Coach integrations (e.g., Mantis, shot timers) and session logging
- Advanced Analytics and Reports
- Reloading vault with recipe management
- NFA Vault (trusts, forms, and stamp tracking)
- Executor Access (emergency read‑only access)
- Community Directory participation
- Higher item limits and bulk/WooCommerce import
- Priority support
By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase. All payments are non-refundable, except as required by law. We may change our prices at any time with at least 30 days prior notice.
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account, including applicable taxes.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service, including its design, functionality, and all underlying code, is our proprietary property and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise create derivative works of the Service without our express written consent.
7. Third-Party Services and Hardware
The Service integrates with or may contain links to third-party services, such as mapping APIs, online retailers, Bluetooth-enabled hardware, and a limited pre-login analytics provider. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk, and we explicitly disclaim all liability for any issues arising from or related to them.
We use analytics only on pre-login public pages to measure marketing-site traffic and product interest. Once you are logged in, analytics tracking is disabled and does not operate inside your authenticated experience.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Armory Atlas, its affiliates, directors, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Under no circumstances will we be responsible for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from hacking, tampering, or other unauthorized access or use of the Service or your account or the information contained therein. Our total liability for any and all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for the Service.
9. Additional Terms
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Armory Atlas from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or any breach of these Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including a breach of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Affiliate Program Policy
Publishers who install the Armory Atlas WordPress plugin and deploy the "Import to Armory Atlas" button may participate in our affiliate program. By doing so, you agree to the commission rules and compliance obligations outlined in this section.
- Commission Amount & Duration. Qualifying Premium subscriptions tracked through your button earn a commission equal to three percent (3%) of the subscriber's payments for up to twelve (12) consecutive months. Annual subscriptions generate a single commission equal to 3% of the initial annual fee. No commission is due on free-tier accounts until they convert to Premium via your tracked link.
- Cancellation & Refunds. If the subscriber cancels, downgrades, or receives a refund, all further commission accruals cease immediately. You retain any amounts already paid prior to the effective cancellation or refund date.
- Payout Threshold. We release affiliate earnings once your aggregate confirmed commissions reach $100 USD. Payments are made using the payout method on file during the next scheduled cycle following threshold attainment.
- Compliance. Affiliates must represent Armory Atlas accurately, adhere to all firearm-related advertising laws, and use only the official assets and tracking links we provide. Misleading claims, spam, or prohibited marketing practices may result in termination of affiliate status and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
- Program Changes. We may modify commission rates, eligibility requirements, or payout schedules with reasonable notice. Continued participation after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated affiliate terms.
