Ammo Inventory
Included in the free planPrecisely monitor consumption, lots, and true cost per shot with automatic deductions from sessions.
The problem this solves
Ammunition is the recurring cost of shooting, and almost nobody knows what they actually spend per round or how much they really have on the shelf. Boxes get opened and half used, bulk buys sit in a closet, and a quick count before a match turns into a guess. ArmoryAtlas tracks ammunition by lot, deducts what you shoot at each range session, and shows the real cost per shot across everything you have bought.
What you get
- •Lot tracking with purchase date, vendor, and unit price
- •Automatic cost per round calculations across lots
- •Reorder thresholds and low‑stock indicators
- •Storage locations and safety notes
- •CSV import/export for bulk updates
Track by lot, not by guess
Each ammunition purchase becomes a lot with its caliber, brand, bullet weight, quantity, vendor, price, and purchase date. When you log a range session, the rounds fired are deducted from the lot you used, so stock levels stay accurate without a separate counting step.
Lots also make troubleshooting possible. If a firearm starts failing to feed, you can see exactly which lot was in use and whether the same lot caused problems in other sessions.
True cost per shot
Prices vary by vendor, by month, and by quantity. ArmoryAtlas averages the cost across every lot of a given load and shows the cost per round, so a training plan can be budgeted from real numbers. Reloaders see the same metric for their own batches next to factory ammunition.
Reorder before you run out
Set a minimum stock level per caliber. When deductions push you below it, the caliber is flagged in the dashboard and in alerts, and the Shop shows current deals for that caliber so the reorder happens while prices are visible.
Storage and safety
Record where each lot is stored, whether it is reserved for defense or practice, and any safety notes. For households with multiple safes or an off‑site cache, the location field alone saves trips.
Frequently asked questions
- Does ammo deduct automatically when I log a range session?
- Yes. When you record a session, you choose the firearm and the ammunition lot used and enter the round count. The lot quantity and the firearm round count both update immediately.
- Can I track reloaded ammunition alongside factory ammunition?
- Yes. Reloading batches appear in the ammunition inventory with their own cost per round based on component prices, so factory and hand‑loaded rounds can be compared directly.
- Can I bulk‑import my ammunition?
- Yes. CSV import accepts caliber, brand, quantity, price, vendor, and purchase date columns, and the same format is used for export.
