AI Target Analysis
PremiumComputer vision scoring and group size metrics for uploaded targets, with comparisons over time.
The problem this solves
Measuring a group with a ruler at the bench is slow, inconsistent, and rarely written down. Without a consistent measurement there is no way to know whether a zero is drifting, whether a new load groups tighter, or whether practice is working. ArmoryAtlas photographs the target, finds the holes, and produces the group size, score, and point‑of‑impact offset the same way every time, then stores the result with the range session.
What you get
- •Automatic group sizing (MOA/MRAD) and scoring
- •Point of impact drift detection and suggested corrections
- •Heatmap/centroid overlays for quick visual feedback
- •Compare sessions and track improvement by drill
- •Works with common printed target formats
Photograph, measure, store
Take a photo of the target with the phone camera or upload one. The model detects bullet holes, computes extreme spread and mean radius, converts to MOA or MRAD for the distance you entered, and scores ring targets automatically. The measurement is saved with the range session, firearm, and ammunition lot.
Point of impact and zero drift
The centroid of the group is compared to the point of aim, and the offset is reported in clicks for your optic. Across sessions, a drifting zero shows up as a trend rather than a surprise on match day.
Compare what changed
Filter by firearm, drill, or ammunition lot to compare groups over time. Overlays and heatmaps make it obvious whether a change in load or technique moved the results.
Trap and clay shooters
The same computer‑vision work powers the trap trainer in the mobile app, which tracks clay breaks from video. Trap and skeet scores from the free score sheet on the site can be kept alongside rifle and pistol data.
Frequently asked questions
- Which targets are supported?
- Common printed bullseye, silhouette, and grid targets work out of the box. Any target with visible holes on a contrasting background can be measured; ring scoring requires a recognised ring layout.
- Are my target photos uploaded in the clear?
- Analysis runs on the device where possible. Photos stored with a session are encrypted like every other attachment.
