Range Sessions
Included in the free planCapture performance data to drive measurable improvement over time.
The problem this solves
Most range trips end with a target in the trash and no record of what was shot, how well, or under what conditions. Six months later it is impossible to say whether a new load, a new optic, or a new drill made any difference. ArmoryAtlas turns each session into a structured log that updates round counts and ammunition automatically and builds the history you need to see real improvement.
What you get
- •Drill logging with templates, tags, timers, and notes
- •Distance, weather, target type and position context
- •Automatic round usage deduction from ammo inventory
- •Scoring and per‑session summaries
- •Session comparisons and trend insights
Log a session in under a minute
Pick the firearm, the ammunition lot, the distance, and the round count. Add a drill from a template or type your own, record the score, and attach a photo of the target. Round counts and ammunition stock update as soon as the session is saved.
Weather, lighting, position, and target type are optional fields that pay off later when you compare a cold‑weather session to a summer one, or prone results to standing.
Drills and scoring
Reusable drill templates hold the par time, target, and scoring rules so a Bill Drill or a 25‑yard bullseye string is recorded the same way every time. Trap and skeet shooters can use the free trap score sheet on the site and keep the same records inside the app.
Trends you can act on
Sessions feed Analytics and AI Target Analysis. Group sizes, scores, and malfunctions are tracked per firearm, per ammunition lot, and per drill, so the question "did the new barrel help?" has an answer backed by data rather than memory.
Frequently asked questions
- Do range sessions update my ammunition inventory?
- Yes. The rounds you record are deducted from the ammunition lot you select, and the firearm round count increases by the same amount.
- Can I log a session without internet access?
- Yes. The mobile app stores the session locally and syncs the encrypted record when a connection is available.
- Is there a free trap shooting score sheet?
- Yes. The trap scorebook on the Tools page is free, needs no account, and supports singles, doubles, wobble trap, DTL, and Olympic trap.
